History

Shorty Produkshins is a sole proprietorship founded by Jessica Abraham prior to 2001 with its official acknowledgement that lead to its 2005 register in Orlando, FL with offices also located in Pittsburgh, PA.

Shorty Produkshins has gone through a series of "facelifts." In 2003, Shorty Produkshins was first acknowledged by the public as a label (that recorded in a make shift studio out of legendary 1134) with artists such as LiL Shorty, Blaise, O-Dawg, U-Con, Yung Budtas, Sick Sense, D-Mo (R.I.P), Jay-Sin, Cameron Jimenez and others. It also welcomed outside acts in collaboration with the Shorty Produkshins Label. There has been a total of 80 people (many groups and individuals who were eliminated because they did not have what it took to be part of the Shorty Produkshins Label).

As the structure began to change, many of these artists were either cut from the labl or due to circumstances of better opportunity or family matters ended up leaving the label. This is what is known as the" second generation (2004-2006). The studio moved, twice, to a newer location, where the group, Chen Gang (OKG), and Cameron Jimenez went on to work on new projects. LiL Shorty changed her name to Shorty P as many people had nicknamed her. Chen Gang and Cameron Jimenez were let go for unmentioned reasons at this time. DJ Clove, of this generation, took a short leave and returned to the label in 2008 during generation five.

In early 2006, Shorty Produkshins joined forces with UJACA, which turned to be a huge mistake. A studio was opened in the San Sebastian Square of Altamonte Springs, FL. We won't go into detail, but "normal" studio practices were prohibited and Shorty Produkshins refused to work in conditions for free with no pay. There are no new member included in the roster for the 3rd generation. Shorty P sold the studio and headed to Pennsylvania, under the request of a family member to help aid in some business matters. This was also done in order to allow Shorty Produkshins' expansion into other avenues of the entertainment industry, as well as, create new studio partnerships and expand into the northern United States.

In Pennsylvania, Shorty P became restless. She also considered this time period of her maturation into an adult. From 2006-2007, the fourth generation arose. From this era, Shorty P changes her name to "Mz Shorty P" to represent her maturity. Shorty Produkshins changes and refocuses the structure of the label and starts to sign only beat makers. Well, that plan didn't work out too well, because Shorty signed Lupa as a beat maker and rapper on November of 2006, prior to his house arrest that ended in intervention. He is still a member to this day.

Exactly a year after Lupa joined on, Shorty signed another beat maker to the label. Coop Deisel came to the label in the fifth generation of Shorty Produkshins. Taking a short break, he returned in the sixth. This is the same generation that sought a fresh breath for the label. Those connections for the company sought an even better change. The label, once again, moved. Shorty was involved in acting and modeling at this time.

As we are in the six generation, and in preparation for the seventh and final move of the label, we have seen great things for the company. In early 2008, Shorty Produkshins joined forces with Sands Street Music/ Murphy Boyz Entertainment which is of Bungalo/ Universal Music of the Universal Music Group. Under the direction of Xavier Ramseur of Sands Street, Mz Shorty P became the Executive Producer of five summer releases. Also a summer release, Shorty's Playground was reopened in New Kensington, PA of the Greater Pittsburgh Metropolis. New to this generation is T. Mill, a beatmaker from Alabama. The only question you must ask yourself... could you be next?

In the quest of becoming the “New Era in Hip Hop Royalty,” we believe, that will keep followers of the art form from straying elsewhere to feel a sense of community. Music seems that it is no longer music, but one large billboard that no one wants to look at any more. We would like to stop this from happening.... and we will.
